Mediation

Brian’s mediation experience began in the Middle East during the Iran-Iraq war. Early mediations generally involved war casualties, including salvage and insurance claims after missile attacks on ships transitting the Khowr-e-Musa channel.

After training, Brian was accredited by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) in 2000 and by the Academy of Experts in 2007.

Whilst his mediation practice is largely European-based, he has mediated disputes in the Middle East and Far East and has been involved as arbitrator or mediator where both procedures were run alongside one another with positive impact and success.

Having been a practising solicitor for some 24 years, Brian’s experience in major litigation assists him to focus minds on the best outcome of the mediation assisting the parties to avoid the risks and associated costs of litigation.
